Tom – Brakeman
Tom grew up in Elkland, PA listening to the chuff, chuff, chuff of the B & O steamer as it passed next to his house along what would later become the Wellsville Addison & Galeton Railroad (WAG). The song of the steamer still plays in the back of his mind. A few years ago, Tom attended a TTS Open House to see what the volunteer organization does. He was interested in train engine service and signed up for instruction to become a brakeman. He enjoys participating in this capacity and helps service and inspect the train.
