Paul – Brakeman

Paul takes his seat as brakeman on the engine.
Born in Corning, NY, Paul grew up near the Erie Lackawanna Railroad line. According to his mother, Paul’s love of trains was evident as a very young child when he used to run into the living room and jump up and down on the couch yelling, “Train! Train!” when he heard the nearby whistle. An avid rail fan, Paul has taken trips on the Arcade and Attica RR, East Broad Top RR, and Strasburg RR. He has kept abreast of the Tioga Central RR as it moved from Owego, NY to Wellsboro Junction. Since retiring as a New York State Correctional Officer, Paul often volunteers with the TTS as a brakeman.
