Martha – Gift Shop Associate
Martha greets Gift Shop customers.
My husband got me involved in the Tioga Central Railroad. He signed me up to help in the onboard gift shop shortly after he became a conductor. I helped there, was trainman a few times, and worked for several years as a ticket agent. In 2006, when they couldn’t find anyone to take over as manager of the TTS Gift Shop, I volunteered to give it a try and served in that capacity for over five years. It is a lot of fun meeting people and hearing stories from the older generation and being part of making memories for the newer generation.
