Jim – Historian

Jim frequently volunteers his time to help beautify existing projects.
In the winter of 1994, I was just finishing a night course and my wife asked me what I was going to do with all of my spare time. The Tioga Central Railroad had just moved to Wellsboro, and I saw the ad seeking volunteers that was placed in the February edition of the Wellsboro Gazette. I figured I could be a conductor, punch a few tickets, and get a free ride. Three years later I was a qualified conductor, a qualified brakeman, and a licensed locomotive engineer. At this time I’m serving as the Society’s historian.
