Al has his own PRR cabin car.

Al is a Korean War veteran with a varied work background. In the early 1960’s Al worked for a European railroad and operated munition trains in France.

He has worked as an industrial designer, a building inspector, and a conductor and engineer with the Northern Central Division of the Pennsy Railroad. Along the way Al retired twice but has not neglected his love of railroading.

In 1998 he saw an advertisement for a Tioga Central Railroad dinner train and decided to check it out. He then became acquainted with TTS members Don M. and Rich S. who suggested he join the volunteer group.

Al enjoys restoring railroad cars and has completed work on a PRR caboose, bringing it back to its original condition. In addition to volunteering with the TTS, he is a docent at the New Freedon, PA train station and the Hanover Junction, PA train station.

Al really likes the TTS because it is a family oriented group, and the Myles Group that has the Tioga Central Railroad is a good organization to work with.
